The definition of success is how many uncomfortable conversations you're willing to have

Bio

I am a Co-Founder & CTO of ActivePlace, and a hard working individual who works every day to be the best person that I can be. Having done multiple Tough Mudders, Sparten races, as well as successfully completing group #55 of the KOKORO 50 hour crucible, I'm always looking for ways to put myself out of my comfort zone. My daily cold showers and the promise I make to myself to always say hi to that other person in the elevator are testament to this promise I make to myself.

What I learned at KOKORO #55

Hopefully the photo above gives you an insight into just how difficult, gruelling, and punishing the 50 hours I spent completing KOKORO #55 really were. A year on from the event (18th to the 20th of October, 2019) everything I learnt during it is even more reinforced, and I realise now how the decision to attempt KOKORO was the best decision I m

What's the best way to get the most out of your lunch break?

A:Eat a nice lunch

B: Go for a relaxing walk

C: Complete a grulling 3x3 EMOM?

Screw the walk, delay the lunch, and do the hard work.

One of my many sparring sessions with Kiki, one of the best and last trainers I had before hanging up the gloves on a very fun amateur boxing career. The sport taught me a lot about myself, who I am, and what is possible with hard work, persistence, and belief that you can do anything you set your mind to.

As someone who cares deeply about my health, not just for my physical activity but for my mental health, day to day performance and longevity I follow and trust the opinion very much of Dr Ronda Patrick. She has produced a lot of content and a lot of insights into what’s good for your health, and there is nothing more profound then her discoveries on heat exposure through the use of a sauna.

www.foundmyfitness.com/topics/sauna

When you get a moment, check out this topic on the use of saunas and why they are possibly the best thing you can do for your health. There are countless studies showing that heat exposure reduce the rate of death and disease. Dr Ronda is a firm believer that in the near future, saunas will become the primary treatment for the majority of both relatively harmless, and life ending disease.

Having started a completely new sport in January this year, I felt way out of my depth. I came from the sport of boxing where I had 18 years experience and 22 amateur bouts, to a sport where I knew nothing.

It was very humbling to say the least.

Yesterday I received my first white belt stripe, which was given to me for my consisty going week after week, even when I didn't want to go.

If it reminds of anything, it's to never ever give up.

Never give up, such a simple message, sometimes not so simple to uphold!
Troy Archer . 3 months ago
Looking good, Trent. You're right, the hard part is always upholding it.

Anyone been to Killen falls located close to Byron Bay in NSW Australia? Troy Archer I know you likely have. Such an amazing short treck down to the falls and although small, very beautiful.

It's quite surprising that after more than two years since purchasing my first Oura ring, I still rely on it so much for knowing how each day, and each nights sleep is going. Looking at my dashboard just then, I see confirmation of "Staying active" and I smiled knowing just how accurate that is.
