Did you know, Sunflowers turn according to the position of the sun. In other words, they โ€œchase the light.โ€

Have you ever wondered what happens on cloudy and rainy days when the sun is completely covered by clouds?

They turn towards each other to share their energy.๐ŸŒปโœจ๐ŸŒป

Natureโ€™s perfection is amazing.

Letโ€™s follow the example of the beautiful sunflowers โ€œSupporting and empowering each other". Nature has so much to teach us.

Wishing everyone a "Sun flower"๐ŸŒป trait of turning towards each other on their cloudy and gloomy days.

I would love to report back on the amazing gym session I completed this morning, with a crazy number of kettle bell swings, pushing, and kipping pull ups. The truth is though I didn't get to the gym. My body didn't feel up to it and I could just feel both my mind and my body needing a little rest, so that's what I did.

The older I get the better I am at listening to myself and knowing what I really need, and although a lot of this is intuition my Oura ring sure helps a little as well.

Not every day we're at our best, that is simply impossible and sometimes it's OK to admit this and just do your best tomorrow.

I've learnt a few REALLY valuable things this month, most notably that I DO have the ability to find the time to be more active, 10 - 15hours per week on average, and my work hasn't suffered, nor has my family life, I actually feel like I just somehow found extra time... funny what prioritising can do! I feel awesome, and proud of what i've done this month. My knees held up and everything! About two years ago my brother purchased a device called a Back Buddy for me, knowing how much physical exercise I did and how sore my muscles often were.

I have loved and used this product so much that when I was in the US last year with my girlfriend Cecilia Blakeley I purchased a travel size one so I could use it while overseas and also fit it in my bag.

It's basically a personal massage device; it's shaped so that using your hands you can target almost all the pressure points on your body, no matter where they are.

I can highly recommend one of these for anyone that pushes and demands a lot from their body. It will help you in many ways in including reducing future injuries. I still go and get massages, but as long as I am using this for at least 5 minutes each day, I don't need to go at anywhere near the rate I used to.

So I've decided to set myself a goal to run every day for a whole year...that's every single day for 365 days in aid of sponsoring the Shepherd Centre, Wollongong, an organisation very close to our family...we have been extremely fortunate to have had the support of the guys at the The Shepherd Centre for our daughter Indiana over the last year. Indi was born with profound bi-lateral hearing loss in both ears - Not sure what we would have done without them.

Over the last 31 days I've been successful in running daily so am now confident, ready and highly motivated to go live and push on for the next 11 months!

I'll be looking to run 3900km over the year...which is the equivalent of running Sydney to Perth at an average of 10.7km/day.

Follow me daily on Instagram, Strava & Garmin Connect to see how I'm tracking.

If you would like to sponsor me $1/day over the course of the year, with all proceeds going to the Shepherd Centre via my Go Fund Me page. Any support would be incredibly appreciated!!โœŒ๏ธ

Hell Hole Falls is a ~5km out-and-back trail located in Mount Jerusalem National Park, Northern New South Wales.

The trail begins in iconic Australian bush surroundings - crunchy ground underfoot, eucalyptus trees towering above and the sound of birds, bees and bugs zipping around. After a little time on the flat, the trail heads downhill and transitions into more tropical surrounds with palm trees and ferns in abundance. The final stretch of the trail follows a creek to a series of rock pools and small waterfalls before a plunge over the Tweed Valley.

The track is a really easy walk and follows a well-maintained fire trail until the last couple of hundred meters. If you donโ€™t mind a dip, pack some swimming gear. The rock pools are pretty crisp and a real treat on a hot day.

Itโ€™s not a walk Iโ€™d do regularly due to the distance from home but certainly one Iโ€™ll do again when I stay nearby and want a bit of easy adventure time.
