The fitness buzz in Noosa is real. We did an enjoyable, albeit slow, short family loop of the National Park, which was magic! Kids did almost the whole 6km without needing a piggy back... @Sarah Archer’s back loosened up enough to manage, what a great way to get some healthy time together. #noosa #noosanationalpark

This is my first post on this new forum. So just thought I would share a little bit about me with you all.

Although I’ve been an active person most of my life, less than two years ago I took a liking to cycling. My husband has been a cyclist all his life. I had never showed an interest in riding until he bought me a bike.  Now I have 4 bikes and absolutely loving getting up at 4am to ride. It’s the only sport/exercise that I can say I enjoy 100%. Even on the tough rides 🙌🏼

Over the next 3 days we are going to be telling you why you should join us (if you're not already) for Ultra X Scotland this May 8-9!

Post 1/3 is titled "have you experienced Scotland in the late spring?"

Well, if you have you'll know that it is absolutely beautiful. Ultra X Scotland starts in Inverness and heads out along the Scottish highlands and circumnavigates the most famous Loch in the world - Loch Ness.

Come May, after a long and dark winter of lockdown here in the UK, we are going to be raring to get out there onto the trails and we sincerely hope you'll be there to join us.

And remember, should the race have to be postponed due to COVID, you will get 100% of your money back, no questions asked.

Visit our website to join us for either the 125km 2 day adventure or Sunday's 50km event.

A very broken day of walking today. It started with an early exit on my first venture into the Border Trails. An adult Eastern Brown snake will do that! I then went back to a familiar and slightly less risky beach path... and have now just finished my first night walk. I opted for an area that I wouldn’t expect to see any groups of kids on, and I was right. Actually ended up clocking some k’s today!

2020 - What a year! Despite all the negatives, some great things happened.

In May, we committed to becoming a more sustainable organisation with our Sustainability Policy (link below if you haven't read it yet). Since then we have planted over 200 trees in the Southern Carpathians with our partners @Mossy.earth

How many should we aim for in 2021?

Winter is Coming: Gear Up & Get Ready

I hate the cold. Says the woman who only drinks ice coffee all year round, has run in Antarctica, and currently trains in the winter of Boston, MA. But seriously, the cold and I, we do not get along. I suffer from a condition called Raynaud's Disease. That coupled with my hypothyroidism is the perfect cold brew for one fr

Last week I hit the road to Mount Barney National Park for a hike to Cronin Creek Falls. It's a ~12km/7.5mi in and out track that follows a mostly flat, well-maintained fire trail.

It had been a bloody hot week, so I took off the night before to pitch my tent in nearby Rathdowney in order to get an early start. I'm glad I did because geez it was a stinker.

Unfortunately, there had been little rain in the weeks prior, meaning the falls weren't gushing. Nonetheless, the waterhole at the end of the trail was nice for a dip before turning back.

The trail wasn't as beautiful or varied as other walks I've done but it was a good challenge for my body. The farthest I'd walked in the previous months was 8kms/5mi so this was a good test on my feet and knees as I still have arthritic symptoms from my recent flare-up. I'm happy to say I made it in and out with only a little pain towards the end of the walk.

This is awesome man. That second shot looking up the stream is beautiful. One day I shall join you! @Dave Lydiard 🙌

Introducing #RUNAROUNDTHEWORLDWITHKEV

WHAT: This New Year’s Eve, we are hosting our most ambitious community challenge ever. It’s so ambitious we have no idea if it’s possible and there is a strong possibility we could fail, but if we don’t try we’ll never know.

Here goes: The circumference of the earth is 24,901 miles and we want to run around it with you, our community, in one day*.

HOW: If we can get 1,000 of you to enter then we will all have to run/walk on average 24.9 miles each – almost a marathon. If we can get 2,000 of you then the average distance per runner becomes a much more manageable 12.45 miles. You get the gist.

WHEN: *The challenge begins when the first place on earth starts New Year’s Eve (Samoa) and ends when the last place on earth hits the New Year (Baker Islands in the Pacific). In GMT, this is 10:00 on Wednesday 30th December until 12:00 on Friday 1st January. We have 50 hours to cover 24,901 miles!

WHY: Kevin Webber is a great friend of ours. Last October, he took on and smashed Ultra X Jordan. He is a wonderful man and a constant beacon of light. He is also a terminal prostate cancer patient. December 21st is Kevin’s 365th consecutive day running which started with the Ultra X #holiday100 challenge last year. The run with Kev challenge gives everyone the opportunity to end one year and start another with a new goal that will take you on an amazing journey.

The challenge costs just £5 and all of the proceeds will go to the charity Prostate Cancer UK. If you’re keen to join us then we will need every ounce of your support to make this dream a reality

PLEASE help us make this happen by registering via this link - ultra-x.co/runaroundtheworldwithkev/
