Yoga practices such as asana enable us to feel there’s something animating our physical form.
Yoga practices such as mediation enable us to watch our minds think, to realise that we must be more than the mind, if we can sit back and watch it generate thoughts.
This is the power of these practices. They show rather than tell us, who we really are.
When you feel the pulsation of the life force during asana practice, you can begin to let go of your identification with your physical practice. When you can watch your mind, your identification with it will begin to subside. All yoga practices enable us to feel that there is something animating our physical form and to watch our minds at work and realise that we must be more than the body and mind.
