When it all feels like it's 'spinning out of control', anchor yourself to something that helps grounds you, even better, something that awakens feelings of beauty in you. Something that moves you away from your head and into your heart.
Nature for me, has that potency. This image is from a special place in my heart in Eastern Bali, i have walked many times. Through the jungle and down to the beach. It was always, A time for connection, a time for pause. A time to find my legs and slow my breathe.
One of my teachers and dear friend Santina Giardina-Chard (from InSan Yoga) over many years of practice 'politely' taught me how to find my legs. And more so, my ankles, my toes, my talus bones, my shin bones. Hours and hours and hours we worked on stability and structure for alignment and form. Many moons later i appreciate so much our devotion to foundation. It's taught me stability and strength when the storms come and and built discipline beyond belief to knowing how to ground myself what ever is happening around me.
Thank you to my students this morning for your willingness to sit with the foundational postures. An openness of mind to tune into every detail. From my experience this is the practice that supports, keeps you safe and unfolds for the journey ahead.
Have a wonderful weekend friends, spend some time In nature xo
